Rules

___________________________________________

We race, setup and run our karts and track by the bylaws and guidelines set forth by The World Karting Association (W.K.A). Our track promoters have also adopted policies due to the uniqueness of our track and racers. These rules are designed to maintain fairness and safety and are set forth by the promoter of this racing series. The items listed below are an overview. Please feel free to contact us with your questions.

Drivers Meeting will be at 6:45PM the night of race. $12 to register kart per class. $6 driver admission.

Points System:

We use a standard WKA points system. Each class runs two, 10 lap heat races and one, 15 lap feature race. Position for first heat race will be drawn. The starting placement for the second heat will be reverse the outcome of the first heat race with the winner to the back. The result of both heat races will determine the placement in the feature race with the total best finish to the front. In the result of a tie, the person higher in total seasonpoints will take position.

Other Rules:

We do not allow tire treatments or tire softening agents on or at the track. No fuel additives allowed. We may at our option use a pump-around. We require a helmet (snell 2000 or greater), neck collar and closed toe shoes. Gloves, jacket/suit, required, approved rib protectors are recommended and are required for Junior Classes or 12 years old or younger. A full width bumper with 75% of rear tire coverage is required. Use of chain guard and wolf plate are mandatory. Exhaust pipe wrap is recommended. All weights added to kart must be painted white and labeled with kart number. All steering components must be wired or saftey pinned. Rear axle must be C-clipped or wire-tied. Exhaust bolts must be drilled and saftey wired. You may use and run the tire and clutch of your choice. All karts will be weighed by our scale. First, second, and third place karts may be teched. All first, second and third place karts may be scaled. All rules are in the interest of saftey and fairness; Millennium Motorsports may add or change rules when necessary.

Drivers Meeting:

Every race day just before the races kick off we conduct the driver's meeting. This is the time that the race director and flagman will tell the competitors about the days events. The intent of this communication is to express what is expected of both the track officials and race drivers. The content of the drivers meeting is redundant week to week. This is done so that things are very consistant, and to make sure new competitors get a full understanding of what to expect while competing at the event. We will also use this time for questions from the racers and to also make any announcements regarding something new or something that we will be watching or strictly enforcing during that race day.

Each driver's meeting will discuss:

1. Race order and format for each class.
2. Line up sheets, line up grids, and how line-ups for all races will be determined.
3. Hot laps, pace laps, getting lined up, and the duties of our front row competitors.
4. Flags: which ones we use, their meaning, and how we will use them to officiate the race.
5. We strongly stress safety as the key focus to all karters.
6. We strongly stress our demand for good sportsmanship.
7. We finish with general housekeeping issues around tech inspection and weigh-in proceedures.
8. Questions and Answers and any new subjects.
